Telemarketing has two categories - Business to Consumer(B2C) and Business to Business Marketing (B2B). Business to Consumer refers to the transaction that occurs between a company and a consumer. The main objective of B2C is to provide goods or services for the consumers. In this organizations sells its products or services to consumers over the Internet. In this way it creates a unique way for businesses and consumers to interact with each other. Company sells its products through web at a faster speed and in an efficient manner.

Through B2C organizations or business companies showcase all their products on the Internet which reduces the cost of transaction. It provides better access to information at the customer's end. Main function of B2C is to capture the customer's interest immediately by offering high quality products with special deals, discounts or vouchers. The main concerned for the organization in B2C is to retain maximum traffic for the website. Goal of email for B2C or Interactive Voice Response is to take the customer directly on the web site that is designed to sell the product just by clicking on the link provided in the email.

There are different categories of Business to Consumer plan. In Direct Sellers B2C companies directly provide products or services to customers. E-Tailers and Manufacturers are two different types direct sellers. E-Tailer ships the products directly to the consumer and the manufacturers sells directly to consumers via Internet. In Online Intermediaries B2C companies act as a intermediator between the buyer and seller and receives a percentage of the transaction value.

B2C includes benefit for both consumer and business side. For consumers there are benefits such as access to goods and services from home or other remote locations, possibility of lower cost goods and services and access to a greater variety services on offer. For business persons there are benefits such as lower transaction costs associated with sales, access to global markets and opportunities for dis-intermediation leading to lower costs for customers.

B2C or outbound telecommunication marketing startergy involves convincing the consumer to buy and build trust and loyalty with their customers. In B2C, strong brand encourages the customer to buy, remain loyal and potentially pay a higher price. Various payment modes are available for the consumer. It makes shopping faster and and more convenient.
